Honey bees
Honey bees: one genus, three sub-genera, and seven species. These bees are known for their large stores of honey; large enduring, over-wintering colonies, and wax comb construction. They get more attention in the human world than any other bee because of our basic as well as commercial dependence on them. In the hierarchy or classification below, you can see where honey bees lie in taxonomy of living things. Below the classification is a growing body of information on each of the species, including where they can be found, what they look like, and other details that distinguish them from one another. More detailed information can be found in books I've recommended in the side bar.
